World Nuclear Association members elect a Board of Management.

The Chair of the Board is H.E. Mohamed Al Hammadi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation

• The Board fulfils all statutory duties pertaining to the organisation's governance, sets policies and strategic objectives acting on proposals from the Director General.
• To ensure balance among the elected members of the Board, each of the three categories of institutional membership - supplier, generator and general - must be represented by at least two members. In addition, the Board has two distinguished honorary members.
• Each Board member liaises with a certain portion of the membership in a way designed to give every member a direct channel to the Board.
• Board members act as a mentor to one of the Working Groups. This enables the Board to monitor the activities of the Working Groups and to shape their overall agenda.
• The Board convenes as required, normally at least twice a year, and Board members communicate regularly with the secretariat.
